Pedestrian in hospital after getting hit by vehicle

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A female pedestrian was hit and injured by a vehicle Instate 5 near Via de la Valle.

The accident happened around 5:45 p.m. According to the California Highway Patrol.

The victim was taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla for injuries, the severity of which is still unclear.

Details of the crash are still under investigation.
