Pedestrian killed after being struck by suspected DUI driver

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A 38-year-old woman who was struck by a vehicle in the Lake Murray neighborhood Thursday night died from her injuries, police said.

The victim was hit near the 7300 block of Navajo Road just before 6:30 p.m., when the driver of a pickup truck ran a red light and hit the woman.

The woman later died from her injuries at an area hospital, while the 38-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
