Pedestrian killed by car while crossing Chollas View street
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A 63-year-old man was fatally injured when he was struck by a car as he crossed a Chollas View street, police said Tuesday.
A 26-year-old man was driving a 2016 Cadillac sedan southbound in the 900 block of Euclid Avenue around 10 p.m. Monday when he struck the pedestrian, who was crossing the street mid-block, San Diego police Officer John Buttle said.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Buttle said, adding that the man’s name was withheld pending family notification.
The Cadillac driver remained at the scene and intoxication was not a factor in the crash, the officer said.
