Pedestrian killed near Sweetwater Reservoir

LA PRESA (CNS) – A car struck and killed a pedestrian Tuesday afternoon at
an intersection near Sweetwater Reservoir.

The traffic fatality occurred at Jamacha Boulevard and La Presa Avenue
shortly after 4:30 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

The victim, believed to be a teenager, died at the scene, CHP public-
affairs Robert Catano said.

The accident left all westbound lanes and one eastbound lane blocked at
the road crossing into the early evening, the officer said.
