Pedestrian recovering after Logan Heights collision
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A 60-year-old man suffered a broken arm and leg as well as internal injuries Sunday when he was struck by a car while crossing a street against the light in the Logan Heights section of San Diego, police said.
The victim was struck just after 5 p.m. in the 3200 block of Imperial Avenue by a Toyota Camry driven by a 29-year-old woman, said San Diego police Officer Robert Heims.
The driver was headed west on Imperial, going through the intersection at 32nd Street and had a green light when the crash occurred, Heims said.
The victim, who was crossing the intersection southbound from the northwest curb line, was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries, which Heims said were not life-threatening.
