Pedestrian suffers minor injuries in East Village hit-and-run

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A pedestrian sustained minor injuries Monday when struck by a hit-and-run driver in downtown San Diego, police said.

The hit-and-run happened around 8:30 a.m. near the East Village intersection of Ninth Avenue and Broadway, according to police.

The vehicle was described as a newer model silver sedan, public- affairs Officer Billy Hernandez said, but police did not release a description of the driver.

The unidentified victim was transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries described as minor, Hernandez said.
