Pension double-dipping

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — Former District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis, who is running for county supervisor, summoned reporters to a sitdown to explain what will be a campaign issue over double dipping, that is collecting a pension while drawing a salary.

Early last year, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported Dumanis hired a legal team to lobby county pension officials to keep her monthly pension checks and her salary, which was illegal. Dumanis said that’s not true.

KUSI’s Steve Bosh has the story.
