Pet Patrol: Keeping your pets safe this summer

Pet Patrol’s Sandie Lampe and San Diego veterinarian Ruth MacPete visited the studio to talk about pet safety in the summer heat.

Heat Exhaustion Tips:
• Keep your pets inside where it’s cool
• If they have to be outside be sure they have access to shade
• Be sure pets have plenty of water
• Avoid excessive exercise when it’s hot. Take walks in early morning and evening
• Know the signs of heat stroke
