Pickup truck struck, gravely injures bicyclist in Logan Heights
SAN DIEGO (CNS) – A pickup truck struck and gravely injured a 73-year-old man today as he was riding his bicycle on a Logan Heights thoroughfare.
The septuagenarian was pedaling to the south on the northbound side of the 3300 block of Main Street when the Ford F-150 entered the roadway from Interstate 15 and hit him about 4:30 a.m., according to San Diego police.
Medics took the bicyclist to a trauma center for treatment of life- threatening injuries, Officer Sarah Foster said.
The motorist had a green light at the time of the crash, Foster said.
