Plant Nursery near Lake Hodges ignites in flames
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — Firefighters were working Tuesday to extinguish a fire at a plant nursery near Lake Hodges.
The blaze broke out in pile of mulch at Big Trees Nursery on Highland Valley Road shortly after 5 a.m. and spread to a roughly 100-by-100-foot area, according to San Diego Fire Rescue Department Capt. Joe Amador.
No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported.
Amador said it was too early to tell what caused the fire.
