Point Loma 48, Kearny 0

As expected this game ended in an absolute landslide! The Kearny Komets (0-6) lost 48-0 away from home to the Point Loma Pointers (6-1) in a very uneven matchup.

The Pointers came into this game very confident of getting another win on the night. Their offensive line made it look too easy, rolling over the opposing defense with ease. Romeo ‘Pinball’ Epperley ran for two TD’s early in the first half.

With five TD’s in the first half alone, the Pointers had this game in the bag. RB Jaylen Griffin ran for 180 yards on the night, pushing his team towards 285 yards of total rushing.

The Komets had yet another disastrous game as their season goes from bad to worse. Their offensive line could not keep it together against a fearless Pointers defense. QB Kevin Villa constantly tried making plays through the air, but to no avail, while their defensive line fell flat.

There were no surprises in this game in a very one- sided affair. The Pointers notch yet another win this season, now on a five game winning streak. The Komets on the other hand need to see some change and fast, as they have lost their sixth game in a row this season.
