POINT LOMA: Man dies after being found unconscious on boogie board
(CNS) – An investigation was under way Monday into the death of
man who was found unconscious on a boogie board in the waters off Point Loma.
A surfer found the man off the western end of Voltaire Street about 6
p.m. Sunday and pulled him to shore, according to the San Diego County Medical
Examiner's Office.
A bystander performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation before medics
arrived and took the man to UCSD Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead
at 6:58 p.m., the Medical Examiner's Office reported.
His name and age were not immediately known.
