Police ask for help identifying City Heights sexual assault suspect
SAN DIEGO (CNS) – Authorities asked the public Thursday for help in
identifying a man who surprised a City Heights resident in her home and
sexually assaulted her.
The assailant, who appeared to be in his mid-20s to mid-30s, entered the
woman's residence in the 4000 block of 48th Street through an unlocked door
about 5:30 p.m. Monday, forced her into a bedroom and attacked her, according
to San Diego police.
The intruder fled immediately following the assault, sex crimes Lt.
Chuck Kaye said.
The victim described the man as about 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a light
complexion, graying black hair combed toward the back of his head, and facial
hair on his chin and on the sides of his upper lip, but not directly beneath
his nose. He was wearing jeans, brown work boots and a worn, dirty T-shirt.
Anyone with information about the case was asked to call San Diego
County Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477. Tipsters may remain anonymous and
could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
