Police ask for help in finding suspected Oceanside groper

OCEANSIDE (CNS) – Authorities asked the public Friday for help in finding
a man suspected of groping women on Oceanside roadsides over the last several
weeks.

Zachary Alcantara, 21, has allegedly accosted and fondled female
pedestrians on three occasions in residential areas near Oceanside police
headquarters since late last month.

The two most recent assaults occurred in the area of Fredericks Avenue
and Los Arbolitos Boulevard, and the first happened Sept. 30 in a parking lot
outside a Target store, Lt. Leonard Mata said.

Alcantara, an Oceanside resident, is a thin, 5-foot-10-inch Latino with
brown eyes and brown hair. He is believed to drive a silver-and-white 2007
Toyota FJ Cruiser, California license number 6EFA973.

Anyone with information on Alcantara's whereabouts was asked to call
Oceanside police at (760) 435-4900.
