Police ask for help in search for missing at-risk San Diego man

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — Police and concerned family members were searching Tuesday for a 68-year-old man who disappeared from his southern San Diego home.

Eliasib Cantu went missing last Friday, but possible sightings have been reported over the past couple days in El Cajon, National City and San Diego. He may be traveling via buses or trolleys, according to San Diego police.

Police said he suffers from an unspecified condition that required medication.

Cantu is Hispanic, 5 feet 7 and 140 pounds with short graying black hair, brown eyes and a full beard with a mustache. He was last seen wearing a maroon polo shirt with beige stripes, black pants and black shoes.

Anyone with information on Cantu’s whereabouts was asked to call San Diego police (619) 531-2000 or (619) 840-3843.
