Police chase suspect in April incident arrested Thursday

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — The suspect behind a high-speed chase in April was arrested Thursday morning after he was found sleeping in a stolen vehicle.

According to San Diego police, they received a call around 9:27 a.m. at 11200 Paseo Montanoso regarding a sleeper in a vehicle. Officers arrived on scene and saw a man asleep in the car with a meth pipe on his lap.

Officers knocked on the window to make contact. When the male awoke he became combative with police officers. 

After a brief scuffle, officers took Ahran Haugley (8-11-74) into custody. He has been booked into county jail.

He currently is facing: 3 Felony and 6 Misdemeanor Charges

  • 2 Burglary Charges     (Both Felony)
  • 1 being under the influence of a controlled substance     (M)
  • 1 possession of a non-narcotic controlled substance     (M)
  • 1 possession of a narcotic controlled substance     (M)
  • 1 possession of controlled substance paraphernalia     (M)
  • 1 vehicle theft     (F)
  • 1 obstruction of a public official     (M)
  • 1 unlawful possession of paraphernalia     (M)
