Police investigating multiple robberies, possibly by same men
SAN DIEGO (CNS) – Robbery detectives Thursday investigated armed holdups carried out at two San Diego businesses, possibly by the same three men.
The first robbery at The Wineding Shoe, a hair salon and lounge at 3603 Fourth Ave. in Hillcrest, occurred around 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, according to San Diego police Officer Robert Heims.
The second, at Los Dos Pedros taco shop at 723 Turquoise St. in La Jolla, was reported just over two hours later.
In the first robbery, three black men armed with a gun and a knife robbed the business, then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, Heims said in a statement. Two of the men wore dark blue jeans and black hoodies with the hood up and cinched over their heads to hide their faces, and the third wore a dark jacket, gray baseball cap, black bandana and dark blue jeans, the officer said.
In the second robbery, three black men robbed the business and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, Heims said, adding that in this instance, two of the men were armed with handguns and all three wore dark pants and black hoodies with the hoods up and cinched over their faces.
Two of the men also wore dark shoes and the third wore white shoes, he said.
No one was hurt in either robbery.
