Police investigating possible kidnapping, sexual assault of teen in City Heights
SAN DIEGO (CNS) – An investigation was under way Friday into the possible kidnapping and sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl in City Heights, police said.
The girl told investigators a man pushed her into his vehicle sometime around 3 p.m. Thursday and took her to a City Heights park, according to San Diego police Officer Frank Cali.
She may have been sexually assaulted in that park before being dropped off somewhere else in the City Heights area, he said.
It was not clear where the girl was allegedly kidnapped from, though it was said to have been somewhere in the City Heights area, Cali said.
The girl flagged down patrol officers for help in the City Heights area around 2:15 a.m. today, according to SDPD Acting Captain Chuck Kaye, who added that the department’s Sex Crimes Unit was handling the investigation.
A description of the allegedly kidnapper was not immediately available.
