Police investigating ‘suspicious’ death in Golden Hill
SAN DIEGO (CNS) – A woman in her 80s was found dead Wednesday inside her
residence in San Diego's Golden Hill neighborhood and police said her body
showed signs of trauma.
Patrol officers found the body when they responded around 2:35 p.m. to a
call of a female down inside a residence in the 2800 block of F Street, said
Lt. Jorge Duran of the San Diego Police Department's Homicide Unit.
The woman's body was found on the floor of the home's living room, Duran
said.
After members of the victim's family made several calls to the home and
were not able to reach the woman, one of them went to the residence and knocked
on the door, Duran said.
When no one answered, the family member looked through a window, saw the
woman lying on the floor and called 911, he said.
Officers and firefighters arrived and forced entry into the home, Duran
said.
An autopsy was scheduled to determine the cause of death, which is under
investigation by homicide detectives, he said.
The woman's name was not released.
Anyone with information about the death was urged to contact the San
Diego police Homicide Unit at (619) 531-2293. Anonymous tips can be made by
