Police looking for DUI suspect who escaped after brief chase

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – A suspected drunken driver got away on foot after
crashing into another vehicle while leading officers on a brief freeway pursuit
in the Lincoln Park area early Thursday, authorities said.

The pursuit began on southbound Interstate 805 at Imperial Avenue around
2:15 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

The suspect, driving a black BMW 328i, led CHP officers on a pursuit
that ended when the driver crashed into another vehicle and bailed on foot, the
CHP said on its website. No injuries were reported.
