Police: Parents planned murder-suicide

SAN DIEGO (AP) – Authorities say the murder-suicide of 4 family members whose bodies were found in a swimming pool and bathtub at their Skyline home was planned by the mother and father.

Police Capt. Jim Collins tells the San Diego Union-Tribune that investigators found notes written by the parents that appear to show they each planned the killings. Investigators are still trying to determine what role each played.

Police are awaiting autopsy results for 44-year-old Alfredo Pimienta, his 38-year-old wife, Georgina Pimienta, and their daughters 17-year-old Priscilla and 9-year-old Emily.

The bodies of the father and the two daughters were found Tuesday in the swimming pool, and the mother was in the bathtub.

Collins and other police officials did not respond to messages from The Associated Press Tuesday night.
