Police pursuit originating in North County reaches speeds of 140 mph

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — A motorcyclist was facing charges today for allegedly leading California Highway Patrol officers on a high-speed chase from North County to a San Diego neighborhood.

The pursuit originated on southbound Interstate 15 near the San Diego-Riverside county line and reached speeds of up to 140 miles per hour, according to the California Highway Patrol. The pursuit ended in San Diego’s Talmadge neighborhood. 

The rider — identified as 27-year-old Enrique Rojas of Perris — was arrested on suspicion of felony evading and driving with a suspended license shortly after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to the CHP.
