Police searching for lengthy pursuit suspect in Mission Valley apartment complex
MISSION VALLEY (KUSI) – Officers from several departments were taken on a lengthy pursuit from Chula Vista to Mission Valley Wednesday night, eventually leading to a foot pursuit in which the suspect evaded authorities.
Chula Vista Police Department Officers tried to stop a gray 2015 Jeep Patriot at the 1500 block of Yanonali Avenue of Chula Vista on Wednesday at 4:15 p.m.
The vehicle’s passenger was identified as Tyler Turner (25-years-old), who has been wanted for multiple domestic violence-related offenses and child abuse involving an 8-month-old child.
At that point, the driver stopped, exited the vehicle, and Turner got into the vehicle and began driving away.
California Highway Patrol and the San Diego Police Department assisted the CVPD in pursuit.
The chase continued late into the evening around 8 p.m. when the driver parked and exited the car in Mission Valley, and fled into an apartment complex in the 6000 block of Reflection Drive in San Diego.
Officers searched the complex but could not locate the driver, and eventually stopped pursuing.
Turner is wanted for multiple charges, including domestic violence, criminal threats, child endangerment, evading police, and violating a domestic violence restraining order violation.
