Police searching for suspects in East Village homicide
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — Homicide detectives are investigating a suspicious death in the East Village district of downtown San Diego, according to police.
Just before 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, police were called to investigate a suspicious death at a flooring-materials business in the 1000 block of G Street.
First responders found the male victim with no pulse and attempted life saving measures unsuccessfully.
The man, who is in his 40s, had apparent trauma to his upper body, SDPD Lieutenant Matt Dobbs said. It was unclear if the victim suffered stabbing or gunshot wounds.
Video surveillance captured at the scene showed two suspects fleeing from the scene, Dobbs said.
One suspect was a male wearing a mask resembling an older woman with gray hair. He was wearing a gray jacket and dark pants.
The second suspect was a light skinned female with long purple hair – possibly a wig. She was wearing a dark jacket and blue jeans.
They fled the scene on foot. Their motives have not yet been determined.
The identity of the victim has not yet been identified.
