Police seek public’s help in Linda Vista homicide
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – An investigation was underway Monday into a homicide in the Linda Vista neighborhood. Someone called 911 shortly before 10 p.m. Sunday and reported that CPR was being performed on a person at an address in the 2400 block of East Jewett Street near Ulric Street, according to San Diego police.
Investigators later determined the person was a homicide victim.
When officers arrived, they located an unconscious male who had sustained a single stab wound to his upper torso. Lifesaving measures were performed by responding paramedics, but the male succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The preliminary investigation revealed the victim may have been in an altercation with an unknown person when he was stabbed. It has not been confirmed what the altercation was about.
The investigation is continuing and no arrest(s) have been made. The victim’s identity is known, but will not be released pending further family notifications.
