Police seek suspect in Oceanside shooting

OCEANSIDE (KUSI) — A shooting in Oceanside left one man injured with multiple gun wounds and police seeking the assailant who fired the shots, according to authorities. Police received several calls late Friday night from people who reported hearing shots fired in a residential neighborhood in the 1400 block of Marquette St. near Santa Barbara St., according to Oceanside Police Lt. Leonard Cosby. 

Officers found the victim upon arrival. His wounds are not considered life threatening, Cosby said, and the man was transported to a nearby hospital as authorities began their search for the suspect.
