Police seek two men in foiled San Ysidro robbery
SAN YSIDRO (KUSI) – San Diego police sought Tuesday two men who attempted to hold up a hotel in San Ysidro but fled empty-handed.
One of the suspects pulled a gun and demanded cash from an employee at the Travelodge on Calle Primera near Willow Road around 6:45 p.m. Monday as the other served as a lookout, San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros said.
However, the suspects ran off when a woman walked into the hotel lobby, Delimitros said.
Police described the gunman as a Hispanic man in his 30s with a mustache and a tattoo under his right eye.
He was wearing a baseball cap, a blue jacket and tan pants. The lookout was also Hispanic and in his 30s and had on a green jacket and blue jeans.
