Police still searching for hit-and-run driver

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – Police Thursday sought the driver of a pickup truck with
a rack on top in connection with a hit-and-run crash that slightly injured 16-
and 20-year-old brothers.

Both brothers were on a bicycle when the collision occurred about 9 p.m.
Wednesday on Nordica Street near 40th Street, said San Diego police Lt. Andra
Brown. The pickup sped off east on Nordica, she said.

The older brother, Antonio Montavo, said he tried to get the driver
to stop by holding onto the truck as it was driven away.

Paramedics were called, but neither sibling was taken to a hospital,
Brown said.

A description of the driver was not released, but the motorist was
behind the wheel of a small white pickup similar to a Ford Ranger, she said.

Anyone with information was asked to call police at (619) 531-2000 or
Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
