Port of San Diego to host workshop on future planning for Embarcadero
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The Port of San Diego will hold a workshop Tuesday to take feedback on future planning priorities for the Embarcadero.
The meeting is part of ongoing drafting of the Port Master Plan Update that will outline development plans for about 6,000 acres along the San Diego Bay the port oversees.
The Embarcadero area is home to a mix of landmarks and commercial space like the USS Midway Museum, Seaport Village and the Tuna Harbor Dockside Market.
The port is seeking feedback, in particular, about the preferred usage of the northern and central sections of the Embarcadero, roughly spanning from the San Diego International Airport to Seaport Village.
The port held a similar forum Jan. 30 and plans to hold a subsequent workshop Feb. 25.
The meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Port of San Diego Administration Building at 3165 Pacific Highway. Residents can find more information on the Port Master Plan Update drafting process by visiting portofsandiego.org/integrated-planning.
