Possible drunk driver rams pickup truck into apartment building

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A pickup truck struck an apartment building in San Diego Monday night, injuring the driver, who is being investigated for possibly driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, police said.

The crash was reported just before 8 p.m. in the 4100 block of Texas Street, said San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros. The front of the vehicle ended up in an apartment’s kitchen area, Delimitros said.

The driver was taken to a hospital, according to Delimitros.
