CIF State Championship Preview: Canyon Comanches at Bonita Vista Barons

Bonita Vista has proven they are one of the best teams in the San Diego Section after winning their 1st CIF championship in the 49 year history of the football program, no they have the opportunity to add a CIF state 4AATitle to the schools trophy case when they host Canyon of Anaheim on Friday night at &:30 PM at Southwestern College.

San Diego Chargers Coach of the Year Chris Thompson has special special players on both sides of the football,. Starting with All-CIF 1st team Running Back Greg Bell Scored five touchdowns in BV’s win over Mission Bay in the Division Championship last Saturday, he has run for more than 2,200 yards and 30 Touchdowns this season.  Defensively Atoa Fox, is shut down corner, the 1st team All-CIF Corner make splays on both defense and special teams. The Barons Are also outscoring their opponents by 18 points a game in 2015.

The Canyon Comanches out of Anaheim are coming off a 31-21 CIF Southern Section Southern Division win over Brea Olinda last Friday to win their 1st CIF football Championship.  They Have some Players starting with Senior Receiver/Safety Trace Hobbs.  Hobbs caught 67 Balls for 1096 yards and three touchdowns. The Senior caught Senior Running Back Charlie Treanor.  His Running Style is very similar to Stanford’s Heisman Nominee Christian McCaffrey.  Canyon also has smart players.   33% of their players are on the school’s scholar athlete list.
