Preliminary hearing set in Logan Heights gang shooting case

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A man already in jail on an unrelated charge will face a preliminary hearing Tuesday after he was accused killing a man when he fired shots at members of a rival gang in Logan Heights.

27-year-old Antonio Heratio Brown was re-arrested in April after allegedly firing shots from the passenger seat of a car into a crowd in rival gang territory on March 10. The victim, 28-year-old Jason Coney, later died at UCSD Medical Center from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

A decision will be made following the hearing to determine if there is enough evidence for Brown to stand trial.
