President Trump weighs in on California’s high gas prices
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – President Trump is voicing his opinions on California’s high gas prices.
He tweeted yesterday saying gas prices in the state were much higher than anywhere else. He also mentioned the state’s move to embrace electric cars, writing:
“I guess those very expensive and unsafe cars that they are mandating just aren’t doing the trick!”
This comes three weeks after the president announced plans to eliminate California’s right to set its own auto emissions standards.
Governor Newsom responded to the tweet sarcastically saying that electric cars “sure are gas guzzlers!”
