Press conference held on proposed tenant protection ordinance

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – This week Mayor Todd Gloria and the City Council President released a tenant protections draft, saying they hoped to create new safeguards to keep people from ending up on the street.

These eviction protections would only apply to renters who were current on their rent payments.

The proposed protection law would bring San Diego up to state standards.
