University City 45, Calexico 13

 The University City Centurions (#5 seed, 7-4) knocked the  Calexico Bulldogs (#12 seed, 2-9) out of the Division IV playoffs Friday night 45-13.  University City will play Castle Park next week.

It was a day to remember to Centurion running back Dominic Lewis.  Lewis rushed for 170 yards and 3 touchdowns.  In the process of racking up yards Lewis became University City’s all time leader in rushing yards per season with 1,305.  Jesston Williams, Drake Augon, Quarzahn Thomas, and Tomo Pollard also reached the end zone for the Centurions.

Next week University City will travel to Chula Vista to take on the Castle Park Trojans.  Hans Graham’s squad was in attendance Friday night to watch the game.  The Trojans are lead by do it all quarterback Jordan Danielson who has thrown for 1391 yards and 14 touchdowns he has also rushed for 447 yards and 7 touchdowns.  Other weapons on offense include Luqman Barcoo (4 rushing TD, 5 TD receiving)  Malik Steen who has rushed for 441 yards and 3 touchdowns and Elijza Johnson (5 rushing TD) and wide receiver Adrian Tolbert who has 738 yards receiving and 7 touchdowns.
