Game of the Week: Cathedral Catholic Dons 28, Olympian Eagles 3

Preview: The Game of the Week on the Prep Pigskin Report will feature the Cathedral Dons (1-3) heading a little south as they take on the Olympian Eagles (3-2).

The Eagles of Olympian are coming in this week after a loss to Point Loma, but made for pretty interesting games so far this season. In only 5 games thus far, senior quarterback Nico Mendoza has thrown for almost 1,000 yards. On the receiving end those balls you’ll either find Isaiah Williams, Rashaun T. Brown, or Mikael Tyler. The Eagles also have a strong defense that the Dons are going to have to avoid if they want to make I to the end zone in this game.

The Dons from Cathedral have a very young team this season, after graduating almost 30 seniors that took their team to the state championships, there are many juniors on the team that are now beginning to receive more playing time. Some like to refer to this as a rebuilding year, because of how strong their team was last season. That not to say this year’s team does not put on a good game for us to watch each week.

We are eager to see the Dons face the Eagles in this Friday’s matchup, and catch the highlights to see who came out on top Friday night at 10:30 on KUSI!
