Preview: Classical Academy vs Calvin Christian

Classical Academy vs Calvin Christian 10/3 at Calvin Christian High School Kick-Off 630 pm

     It will be a cross town rivalry battle in Escondido. As the Classical Academy Caimans (3-1) travel 6 minutes to face the Calvin Christian Crusader (3-1). Both teams come into the game with the same record but one will get their second loss of the season. This Week 5 is intriguing because it will bring bragging rights to see who the better team in the area is.

    The Caimans are coming off a narrow win against the Sage Hill School Lightning (2-3) by a score of 29-21. Classical broke out to an early lead in the first quarter against the school out of Newport Beach. The last two quarters saw them put to more touchdown up on the board. Senior Quarterback Mark Fuson has been averaging over 100 yard per game over the air, he will look to keep patting those stats.

    The Crusaders are riding high after blowing out the Santa Rosa Academy Rangers (0-3) 34-8. Calvin Christian’s attack is lead by Danny Lovato, he rushed for over 150 yards last time he stepped on the gridiron. The junior has been on a tear the whole season and is not showing any signs of slowing down.
