Corvette Diner Alarm Clock Pep Rally Game: Point Loma Pointers 38, Olympian Eagles 28
The Point Loma Pointers with the big win in the Corvette Diner Alarm Clock pep rally game over the Olympian Eagles, 38-28.
The Pointers offense starting strong. JL Skinner and Malik Moore with two quick scores to start the game. Josh Ball would score twice in the first half, including a 16 yard scamper as the Pointers took a 28-7 lead at half.
Olympian would not give up that easily. Mikael Tyler picks the ball up off the turf for a 94 yard score in the 3rd. Nico Mendoza finds Isaiah Williams for the second time in the game in the 4th quarter to cut the Pointers lead to 10. With under four minutes to play Olympian driving when Point Loma sophomore Tristan Shafer grabs the interception to seal the win for the Pointers.
Point Loma quarterback Kyle Grady with a great play of his own in the 3rd quarter. Grady with the QB keep that went 59 yards thanks to some speed and fancy footwork. The Eagles Treyvion Davies would also score on a touchdown run.
The loss drops the Eagles record to 3-2. They will face Cathedral next week at home. Point Loma heads into their bye week with a 3-2 record.

The Week 5 Corvette Diner Alarm Clock Pep Rally Game brings us to Point Loma as they face Olympian High School.
After and 0-2 start to the season the Pointers have rebounded winning 2 in a row. Pointers quarterback Kyle Grady can get it done both in the air on the ground. Last week he had two rushing touchdowns and two passing touchdowns. The Pointers may by small, only 35 players, but feature some great players. Running the rock they have Josh Ball. Ball had 1,000 rushing yards last season. On defense linebacker/tight-end Matthew Fa’alele can get things done.
The Eagles are 3-1 and coming off a big win over Hilltop. Quarterback Nico Mendoza gets it done on the ground and in the air. The senior has 9 passing touchdowns and one rushing. Senior wide receiver Isaiah Williams is Mendoza’s top target and can make plays after catching the ball to find the end zone. He has 4 touchdowns on the season. Against Hilltop David Tirey stepped up to have two early touchdowns and now leads the team with 239 rushing yards.
