Sweetwater Red Devils 35, El Cajon Valley Braves 0

With Week 5 completed and in the books, the Sweetwater Red Devils can rest comfortably as they came up victorious against the El Cajon Valley Braves, 35-0.

The Red Devils (1-4) no longer have a goose egg in their win column as their offense was able to put up 35 points against the opposing Braves defense.

Seniors Julian Estopier and Jose Urenda each were able to add two touchdowns to their stats as they were able to play a key part in their team’s win.

The Red Devil defense was red hot as they were able to earn the team their first shut out of the season. Sweetwater is set to face off against the San Ysidro Cougars next Friday at Sweetwater High School.

The El Cajon Valley Braves (0-5) will have to wait until Week 6 before they are able to have another opportunity at earning their first victory of the season.

Coach Nick Osborn and his Braves came into Sweetwater with high hopes but they proved to be no match for the Red Devil offense.

Even though the Braves were unable to put up any points tonight, they still have an opportunity to earn a win next week against West Hills at El Cajon Valley High School.
