Granite Hills Eagles 20, West Hills Wolf Pack 14

RECAP:

 In "The Battle of the Hills", The Granite Hills Eagles traveled to West Hills High School to face The Wolf Pack. Both teams came out strong, but it was Granite Hills who added points to the board first with a fifteen yard rushing touchdown 7-0 Eagles. West Hills was quick to answer back, as Wolf Pack quarterback Spencer Moyer then carries the ball in himself from ten yards out tying the score 7 to 7. Going into the second quarter The Wolf Pack was not done yet, as Taj Broomfield scores a touchdown from four yards out 14-7 now West Hills. With only a minute remaining in the second, Granite Hills Thomas Youmog carries the ball in to tie the score once again, 14 -14 at halftime. Third quarter Granite Hills takes over at their own 36-yard line, when its Youmog again with a 36 yard rushing touchdown 20-14 Eagles. Thomas wowed the crowd, with two touchdowns this game with 22 rushes for 224 yards. Now with only two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, West Hills takes it inside the 20-yard line but the pass is intercepted in the end zone, ending the game. Final score Granite Hills 20, West Hills 14. Granite Hills (6-1) continues their winning streak as they go into a bye week. The Eagles will be back in action October 30th to face The El Cajon Valley Braves at home. As for West Hills (3-5), The Wolf Pack will also have a bye week coming back to take on The Santana Sultans October 30th at home!

It is Week 8, and The Granite Hills Eagles (5-1) are on the road again, this time ready to take on The West Hills Wolf Pack (3-4).  The Eagles now five and one are coming into Fridays game after a 28 to 14 victory over The Hilltop Lancers (2-4). Their only loss occurring in Week 2 against The Valhalla Norsemen (5-1), with a score of 17 to 10. Players to look out for include Granite Hills Senior quarterback Frankie Lucatuorto and senior DB Riley Reyes, who still leads the team in most solo tackles. On the other end The West Hills Wolf Pack will also be coming into the gridiron Friday after a win against The El Cajon Valley Braves (4-2) 38-13. Wolf Pack quarterback Spencer Moyers passing game has been on point demonstrating game winning connections to both Taj Broomfield and Mitchel Carlin in Week 7. Will The Granite Hills Eagles winning streak continue? Kick off is set for 7:00pm at West Hills High School.
