Lincoln 19 vs. Scripps Ranch 10

After a mini controversy involving the Scripps Ranch student section’s attire the Lincoln Hornets beat the home Falcons 19-10 Friday night.  The Scripps Ranch administration declined to comment on the situation.

Lincoln scored the game’s first touchdown on a 66 yard Ty’Shaun Whiting touch down run.  Scripps Ranch then hit a field goal to make the score 7-3 going into the half.  

In the second half the Hornets scored first again on a Donell Pleasant 64 yard touch down run.

Later in the fourth quarter Jay Numanlia-Wone scored a touchdown for the Falcons to make the score 13-10.

Donell Pleasant put the nail in the coffin on a late touchdown run to make the score 19-10.

The final score was 19-10 Hornets over Falcons.

The Hornets are now 5-3, 2-1 in league play while the Falcons are now 3-5, 0-2 in league play.

Both teams have two games left of the schedule.  Lincoln plays Hoover and St. Augustine at home while Scripps Ranch play at St. Augustine and will host Mira Mesa as well.
