Corvette Diner Alarm Clock Pep Rally Game: Madison Warhawks 56, Lincoln Hornets 32

It was quite the game Friday night as the Madison Warhawks (7-2) took a trip to play the Lincoln Hornets (7-2). In the PPR Top 10 Lincoln was at number 8, while Madison was at number 9 so from the get go it looked like it was going to be a good one. Madison came out with the upper hand on this one as they took it 56-32 over the Hornets.

One of the standout players on Madison was Kenan Christon. He had 226 yards and three touchdowns on the night. His success as well as the backing of his teammates helped take Madison back on the winning track after 2 tough back to back losses.

Lincoln had standout players as well QB Asante Hartzog, Ricky Harris-Williams, Kenyon Sims, Jailen Bailey and Charles Hicks just to name a few.  All of these players had quite outstanding performances, but unfortunately it wasn’t quite enough to combat a hungry Madison team.

Both teams look to finish their regular seasons next week as Lincoln plays Morse and Madison heads to Mira Mesa. Tune in next week at 10:30 pm on the PPR for the highlights on these two games and much more!

PREVIEW: The Madison Warhawks (6-2) are taking a cross-league senior night trip to the home of the Lincoln Hornets (7-1).  This is a big one for both teams.  Lincoln High School asked in a Twitter poll which game people were most excited about seeing and the game against Madison won 72% of votes.  Both teams are also in the PPR Top 10 for week 10 sitting and numbers 8 and 9 respectively.

The Madison Warhawks, are coming off of two tough back to back losses to St. Augustine and Point Loma and are looking to get back on track against the Hornets.  Their record in league is 1-2 and so they are sitting towards the bottom despite their overall record. However, with just a few changes they can get back on track with an away victory against a competitive team.

Lincoln on the other hand are on a five-game winning streak and have been playing some competitive ball against all teams that they have gone head to head with.  Being at home also gives them a slight advantage over Madison due to the fact that they have their fans behind them in a big game like this.  But, It will be a tough match until the end as Lincoln tries to pick up another win before playing their final regular season league matchup against Morse next week.

This is going to be quite the battle and if you don’t have plans I would recommend taking some time to attend this game at 6:30 Friday night at Lincoln High School.  If you cannot make it out to the game you can catch the highlights on the PPR at 10:30 pm on KUSI.  You can also follow “redjacketarmy” on Instagram and Twitter for live game updates on Friday Night.
