Montgomery 43, Southwest SD 6

Southwest celebrated their senior and homecoming to a Halloween crowd but the visiting Montgomery Aztecs stole the fun on the football field as senior running back Charles Crawford ran for two first half touchdowns in a 43-6 win.

The Aztecs were playing without senior quarterback Nate Aragon but Crawford eased the burden, breaking multiple tackles on a 16-yard run down to the 11-yard line in the first quarter and sophomore quarterback Anthony Parra finished the drive with a 1-yard touchdown on a sneak to make it 6-0.

Crawford lead the Aztecs down the field on the next possession, this time with a 27-yard run down to the 1-yard line and he scored on the next play. After a blocked punt by junior Patrick Woolstenhulme, Parra found junior receiver Kevin Rivera in the flat and up the sideline to the 5-yard line, Crawford finished off the drive with a touchdown for a 20-0 lead.

Southwest got one back before halftime on an option play. Senior running back Moses Robles took it up the middle and was gone for a 75-yard touchdown to make the score 20-6 but that was all the Raiders offense was able to muster as they failed to slow down the Aztec attack.
