Morse 34, Serra, 20

The Morse Tigers (3-6) defeated the Serra Conquistadors (2-8) Friday Night 34-20 in a City League Match up.  It was senior night for the Q-Dogs.  It was only the second time this season the Tigers have gone over 30 points in a game.

Most of Morse’s success Friday could be credited to the K.B. Barbee Show.  The senior wildcat quarter back had 290 yards rushing and 4 rushing touchdowns (for 32 yards, 39 yards, 43 yards and 56 yards.)  He also had a 94 yard kick return for a touchdown.  Marcus Turner and Desi Dixon also helped pick up yards on the ground.

Serra brought the game to within a touchdown in the fourth quarter on a Josh Moran 65 yard touchdown pass to Keith Parkman.  However on the ensuing drive for Morse Barbee scored his fifth and final touchdown.

Serra’s season is now over and with a 2-8 record the playoffs are out of the question.  The Morse Tigers will have one more game against Patrick Henry with an outside chance of making the playoffs.  Morse and Patrick Henry are tied for second in the City league with 2-1 league records.
