Torrey Pines 37, Mt. Carmel 21
A North County Battle ball game on senior night at Torrey Pines High School went the Falcons way as they took care of business at home beating Mt. Carmel 37-21 for a Happy Halloween for the home team. The win gets both school to 5-4 on the season with the regular season finale next week November7th. Torrey Pines will play at La Costa Canyon as they jump back into league play. While the Sundevils will also take their gear and uniforms to face Westview. Both games will kickoff at 7pm.
Falcons jumped out to a 21-0 lead and never looked back, but the game did tighten up at Torrey Pines when the Sundevils cut the lead to 21-14 in the third quarter. That was as close as Mt. Carmel would get.
Torrey Pines had two players score two touchdowns each as Quinn Morimoto and Jack Bailey both hit paydpay dirttting that the two seniors went out with a bang. Bailey, a Senior WR/DB committed to San Diego State University to play football in the fall. Mt. Carmel Senior Quarterback Jeremy Hunt lead the Sundevils leading the way to 21 points. Season finale for both school will be Friday night NoveNovember both closing out on the road.
