Preview: Ocean View Academy Patriots vs. Calvary Christian Academy Royal Knights

Ocean View Christian Academy (1-1) is looking to right the ship this week after a 38-8 lost, after putting up a ridiculous 70 points in their first game. The seas ahead will get no kinder however, as the Calvary Christian Royal Knights come sailing in at 3-0. Led by senior quarterback Moises Hernandez, the Royal Knights have put up 134 points in their three wins against Julian, Warner and San Pasqual Academy. Calvary Christian will look to take sole possession of the Ocean (8 Man) Football division, where they currently are tied with the Rock Academy, who beat Ocean View, this past week. The Ocean View Patriots showed strong defense early in last week’s match-up, but lack of offensive production in the form of turnovers however, set up the defense in short field situations and on kept them on the field often in the first half, wearing them down in the blazing afternoon heat. Special teams was also a concern, after a safety, the Patriots allowed a 65-yard punt return for a touchdown right up the middle of the coverage. If Ocean View wants to sink the Royal Knights’ ship, tune in to KUSI at 10:30pm to find out on the PPR.
