Week 1: Santa Fe Christian Eagles 28, Olympian Eagles 25

Olympian’s trip to Santa Fe Christian will officially kick off the 2018 PPR season at 3:30 PM on Friday August 17.  The Eagles are coming off a runner-up finish in the 2017 San Diego CIF Division 3 Finals, while Olympian made it to the quarterfinals of the CIF Division 1 playoffs in 2017.

If this game is anything like when they played 2017 the scoreboard operator better bring some ice for his or her finger, because last years game went double overtime with Olympian winning 41-38.
Some of the Eagles players to watch for include RB/DB Will Littlejohn, QB/DB Michael Linguadoca, Kicker/DB Jack Bosman and RB/LB Austinn Rossetti.  Most high school football pundits are picking Santa Fe Christian to win the Coastal league under 7th year head coach Jon Wallace.
The Olympian Eagles have one of the most seasoned coaches in the county in 7th year head coach Paul Van Nostrand.  While Olympian lost several star seniors, they will likely focus on what has worked for them in the past, and that would be running the ball and controlling the clock. Key players include RB/DB Damarion Thornton and RB/DB Arnold Escano.
I am picking the Eagles to win this one. Highlights of this game and 31 more can be seen on the award-winning Prep Pigskin Report on KUSI or KUSI.Com at 11:00 PM on Friday night.
