University City Centurions 47, Sweetwater Red Devils 12

After a long fought Division 4 football game, the University City Centurions came out on top over the Sweetwater Red Devils with a final score of 47-12. The action came early and often with the games first points coming early in the first quarter when the Centurions came up with a pick six! After a penalty on the Red Devils, the Centurions capitalized and punched in a two-point conversion and were up early 8-0. Following the Centurions hot start they definitely did not let off the gas with a pair of touchdowns; one coming from the air from quarterback Gunner Grey to receiver Casey Granfors from 15 yards out, and the second on a 10 yard scamper into the end zone from running back E’Lani Rico to make the score 22-0 lake in the first.

It was not all Centurions the whole night when the Red Devils quarterback Brandon Sweeney keeps it for 32 yards and a touchdown to cut the lead to 29-6 Centurions in the second quarter. Sweetwater also came out hot in the second half when cornerback Fabian Nunuz picked off the pass and took it 83 yards to the house. In the end the Centurions came out on top 47-12.
