Preview: San Pasqual vs. San Marcos

The San Marcos Knights (8-0) hosting San Pasqual (1-7) in a home non-conference game Friday night.

San Marcos is coming off a monumental victory over Vista High School. The last time they beat the Panthers was 1975. The Knights are off to an 8-0 start, something they haven’t accomplished since 1966. The squad is also boasting a 3-0 record in the Avocado- East League. Senior receiver Tyler Nix is definitely a guy to keep an eye on, with 39 receptions on the season. Senior Semaj Wren takes the bulk of the carries and has 10 touchdowns on the season. Senior quarterback James Harwell came off the bench in the second half last week helping secure the victory.

On the other side of the ball San Pasqual is struggling during a rebuilding year. After a Division 1 Championship loss last season, the Eagles lost all of their starters to graduation. Their only win of the year coming two weeks ago against Orange Glen. This week they will have their work cut out for them.

San Marcos won the vote to host the Halloween Alarm Clock Pep Rally Friday morning. The game will kick off at 7PMwith highlights on the Prep Pigskin Report.
