Morse Tigers 41, Serra Conquistadors 3

In this Week 7 recap The Serra Conquistadors (0-6) were on the road to rally against The Morse Tigers (3-3) on their own turf. It was homecoming night for Morse, which must have motivated homecoming king D’Anthony Walcott who was first to add points to the board with a 5 yard touchdown. Unable to obtain the two point conversion the score was set at 6-0 Morse.  As the first quarter came to an end Serra quarterback Jack Radley connected to Isaiah Harris for 40 yards to set up a 35 yard field goal, kicked by David Gasca bringing the score 6-3 before the second quarter. The Tigers continued to put pressure on Serra as Phillip Mcelroy picked off a pass from Conquistador quarterback running it in from 37 yards out for a touchdown 20-3 Morse. The Tigers did not stop there, ending the second quarter with a pass from Marcus Turner to Martell Irby for a 47 yard touchdown 26-3 going into halftime. As we mentioned earlier it was homecoming night for Morse, congratulations to the king and queen D’Anthony Walcott and Jaeneen Chung. Third quarter it was Martell Irby again as he scored another touchdown, this time the two point conversion was good 34-3 Morse. The Tigers continued to dominate the game with a final score of 41-3. This marks the third consecutive win for Morse as they go on to face St. Augustine Saints (4-2) in week 8. Serra goes on to play The Patriots at Christian (3-2). PREVIEW:In this Week 7 match-up, The Serra Conquistadors (0-5) are set to travel to Morse High School (2-3) to take on the Tigers. Serra is coming off from a bye week and should be coming fired up and well rested. On the other end The Tigers just received their second consecutive win of the season, defeating The Chula Vista Spartans (1-5) 30-13 in Week 6. Morse is looking to build off of last weeks win over the Spartans, and hoping to keep the momentum going into Week 8 where they go head to head against The St. Augustine Saints (4-2) . Players to look out for include Morse utility players Martell Irby a sophomore running back/defensive back, and his brother Daquirae Irby, who plays wide-receiver/defensive back. 
Kick off between The Serra Conquistadors and The Morse Tigers is set for 6:30pm at Morse High School.
